I was born and raised in the Netherlands, and moved to the United States in 1986. After a career in another field, I attended Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where I graduated with a B.A. in Art in 1995.
I have exhibited my work since the early '90s in a variety of group shows and one person exhibits in the United States, Europe, and Turkey.
Watercolor is my primary medium, occasionally combined with gouache. While my choice of subject matter is not limited to one category, I am especially fascinated with scenes of city life, for which my travels form a source of inspiration. Besides Holland and the U.S., I have also lived in Italy, Germany, and - most recently - Turkey. I now live in Bloomington, Illinois (USA), with my husband and daughter. |
